(Anti-freeze ,Rapid setting, Hardening and water proofing compound)

INTRODUCTION:- Various types of chemical admixtures are employed in concrete

works depending upon the site atmospheric/working conditions e,g (Protection in

Raining/ Snowing/under water conditions), Temperature conditions like sub-zero

temperature ,and other requirements of water proofing , Freeze damage

protection, extra compressive strength requirements. Instead of using various

such admixtures to attain required properties in concrete, a unique

4 in 1 admixture for cold region cement works is employed so that not only cost

is lowered but the progress of work is fast and all desired properties are

achieved with out wasting excess man power and time.

Description:

RAPIDITE 4 IN 1 is unique combination of cement-water chemical

reaction enhancers(set accelerators), Hardeners, Capillary blockers,

Anti freeze additives and anti-rust and anti-decay chemicals, this is

mainly used for fastening up of concrete works in cold regions but

the properties of hardening, waterproofing and anti freeze are

achieved at the same time. It reduces water ratio in mix, makes

the mix easier to place and speeds construction by shortening the

initial set and curing time. Time and labor are saved, because forms

and other protection can be removed earlier, and finishing can be started.

PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL DATA

Dosage:-Mix with water part or wet concrete

Ratio:-1 ltr –3 ltr to a 50kg bag of cement in concrete . Site Engineer may increase or decrease the ratio keeping in view the intensity of low temperature, Humidity, Site conditions and concrete mix grade. e,g if ratio of sand-aggregate in mix is more quantity of Rapidite 4 in 1 can be increased as need. For cold under water constructions the ratio can be increased upto 5 ltrs / bag, but do not over dose.

Uses:-
RAPIDITE 4 in 1 is recommended for use during cool and cold weather to accelerate the set time and reduce the risk of frozen mortar and concrete mixes. However, RAPIDITE 4 in 1 can be used any time you want to accelerate the set time to decrease turnaround time and war footing basis construction works and time bound completion of works

RAPIDITE 4 in 1should not be limited to use during extreme cold months . Increased workability and earlier strength are also obtained when temperatures are in the (10º to 30º C) range, because any time the temperature drops below (21º C), there is a reduction in the rate of cement hydration. Cleaning of tools & Equipment:Tools and equipments can be cleaned with simple water.
Storage and shelf life:Store the material at a cool & dry place (preferably at 25˚C Temp. )It may freeze at extreme minus temperatures if stored for long time but can be reconstituted by stirring.

This is mainly used on mountainous bulk concrete works,

Precautions

· Do not mix it with dry cement.

· Can be used by spray concrete Gun Also.

• Add to mixing water part or directly to the wet concrete mix.
• Maintain water-cement ratio as low as possible.
• Stir well before use.

· Do not mix it with other chemicals.

• Never use with sub-standard Cement/Sand/Aggregate (refer BIS specifications for quality parameters of the materials)
• Not for Human consumption, Avoid contact with body by wearing safety Gloves.
• Stop construction if temperature is as low as Men can not work properly.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

EYE CONTACT: If irritation or redness develops, move victim away from exposure source and into fresh air. Flush eyes with water for fifteen (15) minutes. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated shoes and clothing. Cleanse affected area(s) thoroughly by washing with mild soap and water. If irritation or redness develops and persists, seek medical attention.

INHALATION: N/A

INGESTION: Induce vomiting or by touching a finger to the back of the victim’s throat. Keep the victim’s head below the hips to prevent aspiration into the lungs. Consult a physician, immediately.
